Unable to View IEPs from within Genesis

If you are trying to view a student's IEP from within Genesis by clicking on their folder icon link, and the IEP is not loading, you likely have a PDF viewer extension running on your Chrome browser, which conflicts with Frontline (where the IEP documents are actually stored - Genesis simply links to the documents in Frontline with embedded security credentials).

 

You will need to disable that PDF viewer extension and then log back into Genesis, at which point the IEPs should load for you.

To check for and disable an extension:

  1. Open your Chrome browser.
  2. Click the puzzle piece icon on the top right, near your profile image.
  3. To view all of your extensions, click "Manage Extensions" at the bottom of the Extensions window.
  4. If you see any extension that references PDFs, you can either disable it by clicking the slider, or remove the app entirely by clicking "Remove".
  5. Close your Chrome browser, and then reopen it.
  6. Log back into Genesis and try to view an IEP you were having trouble with.
